Meeting Minutes
February 7, 2012

The monthly meeting of the Southmost Amateur Radio Club, Inc. was called to order by Pat Stotler, president at 6:35PM in the Harlingen Medical Center Office Building, 5505 Expressway 77/83, Harlingen, TX.

Minutes of the previous meeting were read and accepted.

Treasures Report was read by Robert Ross and accepted with an ending balance of $2,894.15. We only lacked $1.85 on the radio and equipment for the swap fest.

Correspondence- Jody Law received an application for the renewal of the Club’s Radio license, from W5YI. The Club call is KD5YRP. Information was given to the treasurer to issue a check for the renewal.

Old business-Pat Stotler reported that attendance at swap fest was larger than last year, everything went fine. We were invited to have it there again next year.

The prizes for next year were discussed and nothing was decided. We mentioned that the drawing should be done at a set time. We decided to have our swap fest on the third Saturday of January, 2013, if available.

Ed Wagner would take over setting up and testing for new hams and upgrades at the swap fest next year.

New Business-Vice President, David Jones stated that the website was up todate.

Motion was made by Russ Lamb and seconded by Ed Wagner to adjourn the meeting. Meeting adjourned at 7:50 PM.

January 3, 2012

The monthly meeting of the Texas Southmost Amateur Radio Club, Inc. was called to order by Pat Stotler, President at 6:30PM in the Harlingen Medical Center Office Building, 5505 Expressway 77/88. Harlingen, TX.

Minutes of the previous meeting were read and corrections were made.

Treasures report was read by Robert Ross and was accepted with an ending balance of $1,893.15.

Correspondence:
A letter was received from the Ronald McDonald House, thanking us for the Christmas gifts.

Old Business:
Regarding the ticket sales for the swap fest, it was decided that the treasurer, Robert Ross would collect for and take care of the tickets.

The TSACR, Inc swap fest will start at 8:30AM, with breakfast from 7 to 8 AM.

The need for a disk was discussed and a decision was made that George Salinas would purchase a set up disk for the FT-857D Radio

New Business:
None

Meeting was adjourned at 6:45PM.
